We will notify staff that supports are available for those with disabilities. We will put in place a process to develop individual accommodation plans for employees.

Where needed, we will also provide customized emergency information to help an employee with a disability during an emergency.

Athletic Knit’s Accessibility Company Policy

This policy applies to all prospective or current employees of Athletic Knit, as well as contractors and visitors, who possess a disability of any kind that restricts them in various ways.

  • Conditions that require the use of wheelchair or other movement support device or mechanism.
  • Physical impairments that obstruct everyday activities (ex: opening doors, walking up the stairs, etc.
  • Conditions that require assistance or constant medical care.
Other conditions are subject to Athletic knit’s judgement and will be considered individually.
We have several provisions for people with disabilities. We have:

  • There is reserved parking spot for disabilities in our back parking.
  • Accessibility for people in wheelchairs to enter the building from our back parking lot.
We allow assistive devices, service animals and support persons to be in our company’s premises for as long as their services are needed.
We encourage anyone who encounters any problems malfunctions or deficiencies to report them to their immediate supervisor or Berta Ferreira.
